TENS Machine Hire

The Elle TENS 2 is specifically designed for the needs of women to manage discomfort during labour.

TENS machines work by providing drug-free pain relieving effects by sending small, safe electrical pulses into the vody via 4 x electrode pads which are placed on the back (instructions sent with the kit).  These electrical pulses provide a gentle buzzing sensation which can be turned up or down.  The pulses effectively block pain receptors to the brain and instead produce pain relieving endorphins through the body.

Mums who have used TENS machines during labour typically report feeling distracted from their contractions, more comfort, less anxiety and a feeling of being in control of their experience.

Hire Length Guide

 

We have hire options from 4 weeks all the way through to 8 weeks hire with a weekly extension option where necessary. 

​

If you are planning on waiting for labour to begin naturally without induction, we recommend an 8 week hire length from 36wks gestation.  This will cover you for both pre and post term birth + some extra time to return the kit after birth (cause sending back your TENS machine may not be your first priority once you have your little one earth side!).
